Leo is an imaginative young son of entrepreneurial parents. His youthful exuberance to create and share his love of systems and activities predate his ability to talk.
His first foray into selling Valentines happened when Leo was only 5 years old. Unbeknownst to anyone in his family, Leo carried furniture out onto the street and set up his first ever Valentine’s Day stand, selling handmade Valentines created from recycled materials. His impromptu card stand was a huge success and Leo is excited to bring it back.
His mom, owner of Black Wagon, a children’s boutique in Portland, Oregon, has invited Leo to host his Valentine’s Day Pop Up Shop outside their shop on N. Mississippi Ave.
Leo hopes to make many people happy and is working away to produce enough Valentines for everyone who stops by to visit him on Saturday.
About Children’s Cancer Assocition
CCA prescribes joy. For children diagnosed with serious illness and their families, every moment is precious. At CCA, their goal is to transform as many of those moments as possible — with joy. The Children’s Cancer Association didn’t start with a foundation, it started with a family. One who faced its own battle with serious pediatric illness two decades ago in Portland, Oregon. From that experience came a passionate commitment and focus: To deliver the resources, the friendship, and the healing power of music to families facing the same challenges. Unlike many organizations dedicated to the worthy goal of someday finding a cure for cancer, CCA is all about creating joy today. Facebook.com/ChildrensCancerAssociation
